Post of the week

Abandoned Ammunition Building

This is one of the crazy places I got to explore.  The floor was made of little wooden blocks and due to temperature and moisture, it buckled and bowed and looked like waves on the ocean.  It was amazing.

Dark Road

This has always been one of my favorite pictures that I have done.  Has a dark and treturous feel to it doesn’t it?

…ZOMBIES!!!

I made this for fun a few weeks ago and I was kind of shocked as to how it turned out.  My friend Ken took a pic of himself in the rain as he was working and I made him into a great zombie.  Thought it turned out very well.

Eye of the Beholder

I’m not sure where you are at, but this week it has started to cool off and feel like fall here in Indiana.  It’s time to get creepy and settle down to a good horror flic.  My favorite time of year!

Walking the Dead

It’s about that time again and I’m always reminded of back in the first season that I came up with this design and it was a much bigger hit than I ever imagined.

Forms:

I do it mostly for companies that I work for, but I do create forms for people.  Not many think to ask about it but I do.  Some times it is only for printing and others is form PDFs that you can fill out on line.  Hit me up if this may be something you might need.  Don’t be a stranger, but be strange!

Skateboard Deck:

I’ve had the pleasure to start working on some skateboard deck designs.  This is one of the ones that I came up with.  I have a LOT of old designs I haven’t done anything with so this is a great way to give them new life.

Steampunkz:

This was a picture that was meant to be for a kids book but we soon realized that it was way too intense.  I thought it was still a great picture so, while Samal McNealy drew it, I got to do the coloring, graphic design and texture.  What do you think?  Did it turn out cool?

Wallace’s Tooned-up:

This is a Toon-up done of my wife and myself.  If you are interested, check out the link to the right of the home page.  It was drawn my Samal McNealy.  I had the pleasure of doing the graphic design and coloring.

Build a Zombie:

I love to take the cute and normal and twist it.  This is one of those times.  I took the Build a Bear idea and made Build a Zombie.  This one still makes me laugh. =)

Space Wallpaper:

I made this a few weeks ago.  I have created some more items to make a bunch more so keep your eyes out for them.  If you haven’t already, come find StrangeCraft on Facebook and keep up with all the new stuff I get into.

Steampunk:

This was drawn by Samal McNealy.  I gave it color, texture and the old parchment look.  It was supposed to get a steampunk feel.  Had fun doing this one.

No Thanks For The Giving:

I created this one last year for Thanksgiving.  I hope you all have a safe holiday!

Zombie Wife:

My wife says, “you should make me into a zombie.”  Be careful what you ask for.  It turned out pretty good for the most part.  I had fun seeing her reaction to it. =)

Marston House:

This is a house that was down the road from where I live.  We had a tornado and it hit it hard.  A few weeks ago they took the rest down, but before that I got some pictures and added my special touch to it.  I hope you enjoy!

The Doctor:

This is a picture I took when I was cleaning.  I took it into photoshop and creeped myself out with how it turned out! =)

Tesla Gothic:

I wanted to make a picture of Tesla but in a Steampunk way.  I actually came up 6 types of the same picture.  This one seems to have a more gothic feel.

Cartoon Page:

This was a picture drawn by Samal McNealy. I colored and added texture and wording.  Very different look in my opinion.  If you are looking for someone to color your work, send me an email.

Tribal System:

I was wanting to do a fun wallpaper and I came up with this.  Now this is a bit old, but it is still cool.

Empty:

I created this picture in a series of incarceration images.  I wanted to show madness, sadness, and fear.  This one was focused on sadness.

Peter T-Shirt:

I wanted to create a Peter Steele tribute shirt and this is one that I came up with.  He had a small cult following but influence a lot of people with his music.

Movie Remakes:

For a number of years now, we have seen an influx of movie remakes.  No matter if it is horror, action, comedy, or what ever it might be, we are being bombarded with them every year.  Is it a good thing or a bad thing?  In my opinion it is not a good thing at all.  Most of the movies that are being remade are classics already.  The outcome tends to be a half-baked yawn fest in comparison.  To me it also shows a lack of vision or originality.  For some reason people think they are paying homage by trying to recreate something that was great already.  In fact, it only highlights how awesome the original is by how trite the new one is.  I guess the good thing that comes out of it is that it reminds us to go back and enjoy something that may have been forgotten.  Don’t get me wrong, not all remakes are terrible.  Some are pretty good in fact.  In my humble opinion, the money used to create a remake could be used to make something new and unseen because if not, it just ends up in the “Under $5” DVD rack at the store.

The Piercing Light:

I took this picture when I was out exploring abandoned buildings.  I found a large area of abandoned buildings and had a great time going through them taking pictures.  This is one of the pictures I took.  I changed it a little bit with Photoshop.
